Dr Colin Tan

Dr Tan completed his registrar and fellowship training in Interventional Radiology at Westmead Hospital. Outside Sydney Interventional Radiology, he is a Staff Specialist at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and Gosford Hospital.

Dr Tan is a dedicated interventional radiologist. His main focus is on interventional oncology. He treats cancers with trans-arterial chemoembolization (TACE), microwave and radiofrequency ablation. He is involved in bringing Nanoknife ablation to Sydney. He is experienced in pain management using spinal and musculoskeletal injections. He also treats arterial and venous disease including varicose veins. He is starting a lipiodol flush program for infertility.

His appointments at teaching hospitals allow him to teach registrars and fellows, and to expand his research and academic interests. He is currently the coordinator of radiology Fellows at RPA hospital.

In his spare time, he enjoys road riding and middle distance running, but usually is kept busy and gets most joy by annoying his young children and providing a daddy taxi service.
